Restaurant 22 ships
22 Ships has been one of Hong Kong’s most beloved Spanish restaurants since 2012. In September 2024, it moved from its original Ship Street location to a much larger home in PMQ Central, under Madrid‑born Chef Antonio Oviedo. The new space is inspired by Spanish bodegas, with warm earthy tones and a relaxed, retro feel. It now accepts reservations (walk‑ins are still welcome with no service charge).
The expanded menu features 40 dishes, including long‑standing signatures such as Segovian roasted suckling pig, uni toast, a paella with colossal red prawns, Iberian pork ribs, and a burnt Basque cheesecake made with smoked Idiazabal cheese. Drinks include an all‑Spanish wine list of 50 bottles and vermouth‑based cocktails. Weekend brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays. 22 Ships remains a go‑to for bold, unpretentious Spanish food and social dining.
