Cafe Yat Lok
Yat Lok is a legendary Cantonese roast meat shop. Founded in 1957, this family business has been running at its current spot on Stanley Street since 2011.
The unmissable, glistening roast geese are the star of the menu. They are marinated with a secret recipe and go through over 20 preparatory steps before being chargrilled to perfection. You can order the goose by the quarter. It is best enjoyed with a bowl of lai fun (thick rice noodles) in a clear broth with a drizzle of goose fat. Beyond goose, the restaurant also serves excellent char siu (barbecued pork), roast pork belly, and soy-marinated chicken.
